Our Wounded EOD Warriors face a lot of uncertainty coming home, and one of the toughest questions they ask is "How can I get back to my unit?". IED IMPACT is an app designed to answer that question. From hearing the latest headlines to connecting with old and new EOD friends to sharing pictures, stories, incidents and lessons learned, the goal of the app is described as providing "meaningful connectivity between the active duty members of this community, the Wounded Warriors, and the families who support their wounded sons, daughters, and spouses."
The designers have created a social platform that will allow members to share and benefit from the life-saving lessons and support that exist in abundance in this EOD community. Their network is a secure environment where members can feel comfortable creating and sharing videos, pictures, text, and links centered around enriching the lives of those who have given so much for our country.
While the app is currently only available for use on the iPad, a desktop version is slotted for the fall.
